Recently the 200 got its most thorough update yet with the addition of the very good 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 under the hood, which produces a healthy 283 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, and powers the front-wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. The new V-6 not only gave the 200 performance that matched its sporty-looks (taking 6.0 seconds to hit 60 mph from a standstill in the sedan and 6.7 seconds in the convertible), but it also offers improved fuel economy over the old 3.5-liter V-6 that it replaced, achieving an EPA-estimated 19/29 mpg city/highway in both the 200 sedan and convertible.
Chrysler has made minor changes to the 200 for the 2012 model year. All Chrysler 200’s now get Crystal Blue Pearl Coat, and Deep Auburn as new exterior colors, and 200 Convertible Limiteds get a new interior color scheme called Black with Pearl White.
